My feeling is that exploration is not near as much of a gamble as in the 70's but I may be wrong. Maybe some expert out will can deny or verify this for us.

I was stopped out of my position in both GIX and NDE. During this crisis I have developed a Mantra of investing. Ideas that would have saved my wealth. I think a lot of people are doing this, if not on paper then mentally. eg. using tight stops etc. At the top of my list however is to no longer speculate on any stocks on the venture exchange. That is now off many many lists. I remember going to the New Orleans investment conference and listen to a gentlemen 'expert' on junior explorers and the key point he was trying to make was how much of a long shot it was for a junior explorer to 'hit dirt'. Yet I got caught up in the spec bubble and forgot his advice. For this 'memory lapse' weakness I think its important for everyone to develop their own investment mantra going forward while our experiential memory is fresh.

Cheers

I'm down nearly 70% in my GIX holdings. A new resource is due out any day. I think it will be a major bump up but in these markets I don't know how well it will be received.

God Bless,
