Listen to my interview on Michael Campbell’s “Money Talk” radio show. Just make sure the date reads Feb 28th and you use the 9 AM time period. The interview starts around the 16 minute mark.
Absolutely great news from Oromin Explorations (OLE-TSX) If we weren’t in economic upheaval worldwide and had just gone through the worse junior resource bear market in history, I’m convinced the share price would be at least five times the current price. You take a lot of beatings in this business so its great to see a company of yours doing so well.
Speaking of beatings, Geologix Explorations has chosen to no longer engage Grandich Publications. Since my sole reason for supporting them was the San Augustin project and we all know too well what happened there, I see no reason to be a holder of the stock. Taking our lumps absolutely “sucks” but I’m afraid this too comes with the territory in the junior resource world.
Investing/banking in Canadian dollars for Americans. Thanks to many readers, I’ve discovered more than one way to get dollars into Loonies.
An American can open a Canadian or American dollar account at an RBC branch in Canada. You just require two pieces of identification. Alternatively they have an affiliate in the US, RBC Centura, however, they are currently only in Florida and you need to visit a branch there to open and account. RBC’s contact number is 1-800-769-2511.
Interactive brokers allows Canadian accounts for Americans Everbank also but it’s strictly internet-based.
I was given a book to read when I was in Phoenix recently. It’s called “Guide to Gold, get Rich, get Happy, and Get to Heaven with Monetary Metals.” It’s quite interesting and a good read. It’s by Michael McGowan JD, CFP.
I never thought I say this but Larry Kudlow is right
Sorry but I can’t agree more
Roubini is right – again

The Conservative Political Action Committee held a meeting this week. Coming out from under wraps was the former House Speaker Newt Gingrich. This may be a man destined for the greatest place in modern history. His logical sound bytes hit hard with two fists and will be no match for ‘The Obama Girl’ next time, especially when the World Is In Chaos And Bankruptcy.
In a couple of years, watch Newt Gingrich hold up his book, “Drill Here Drill Now” . Trust me that it will enrage the populace to howl in grief unable to work because of fuel shortages. The day is coming when people will listen to financial logic rather than comdey shows, proving that their not so dumb after all.
Public affection for Obama and the loving vision of ‘Obama Girl’ will be worn out and disenchanted before then, but it may be too late for financial salvage . A lot can happen between then and now and we do have the 2010 Congressional Elections ahead for a preview. That will tell all and the Commies will do everything that they can between now and then to wreck the system permanently. Maybe there’s some reason to hope, but I’m not optimistic that anything can be done at this late stage.
When you make a mistake, you must pay the price.
Ozzie Jurock from the so far so good crowd is interviewed right after Peter and takes the opportunity to slag him over his junoir mining record.
[...] Peter Grandich comments on Oromin news! [...]
1. The US has made a new weapon that destroys people but keeps the building standing. It’s called the stock market –
2. Do you have any idea how cheap stocks are ?? Wall Street is now being called Wal Mart Street
3. The difference between a pigeon and a London investment banker . The pigeon can still make a deposit on a BMW.
4. What’s the difference between a guy who lost everything in Las Vegas and an investment banker ? A tie.
5. The problem with an investment bank balance sheet is that on the left side nothing’s right and on the right side nothing’s left.
6. I want to warn people from Nigeria who might be watching our show, if you get any emails from Washington asking for money, it’s a scam. Don’t fall for it
7. What worries me most about the credit crunch is that if one of my cheques is returned stamped ‘insufficient funds’, I won’t know whether that refers to mine or the bank’s.
