Is G.E. turning the economic light back on?

New gold standard?

Not if, but when!

To Vancouver Canucks fans

    Peter:

I was wondering if you have given any more consideration to opening a Canadian bank account?

  2. Bruce says:

The Canucks don’t care about any idiotic Jersey fans, as few as they are. With the way the Canucks are playing right now, they could easily kick Devil butts!

  3. DL says:

I can all this building to a Devils vs Canucks Stanley Cup final where the Vancouverites on this board will make a friendly wager against the sole Devils fan on this board.

  4. Roger says:

Increase in Feb housing sales is no glimmer; historically it is an increase – but not year over year, just over January. Besides, the data will be revised in a month or so after no one cares about Feb any more.

    Roger.

    Bud – working on it

Bruce – The canucks are a good regular season team. You’re right about us jersey fans. We’re so tired of Stanley cups and the greatest goalie ever. We can’t wait to get to canucks status.

DL – There’s Devil fans all over-mostly in Washington DC

Roger I started looking for a home in an adult community (I can’t believe we qualify for one now) as I have to take in my 88 yr old mom and need first floor rooms (live in condo on 3rd floor). It’s unbelievable how many are for sale because the seniors can no longer afford to live in them due to loss income and/or that of their family and all need to live together now to survive.

Peter: If the Iran/Israel conflict escalates, how will that impact the stocks, in particular gold & energy? Will money flow to them as safe havens or supply concerns, or will they be trashed with the rest of the markets? Thoughts please.

On another subject, while I do not comment on politics prefering to use this board to help with the stock side and survival mode, the story over the weekend – or more aptly put, lack thereof raises a real concern over our media for both those who lean to the left and those who lean to the right. The media is doing us all such a disservice by deciding what story we all need to hear so they can get us all in line with their philosophy. It makes you wonder if there is a conflict with Iran whether the media will just not cover it. Afterall, you hear little about the troops being sent now to Afganistan. Who knows anymore. There should be a grassroots effort against the media to make them change their ways. The story I am refering to involves Joe Biden’s daughter, a social worker with a children’s agency who was caught on video snorting coke. She apparently had a dollar bill up her nose and snorted 3 lines making a comment about the lines not being big enough. For some odd reason any reference to this situation has mysteriously disappeared from the websites and you are not seeing anything in any papers at least as of this morning. Whether we should report on family members is besides the point as the media has made it a point to report on them in the past except as it relates to this administration. Why? Why then should the public believe anything the media reports as they are failing to share the other side of the story. It is sad. What ever happened to the media that was supposed to be unbiased in reporting objective information?
