If I learned anything in life besides being a legend in your own mind is stupid, its there are no sure things. With less than two minutes to go, the greatest ever goalie in the net and up by one goal, I would’ve bet my lungs the greatest couldn’t give up two goals in a minute. Thankfully, my other sure bet, the Canucks not winning the Stanley Cup, is indeed a sure thing. I will just have to console myself with a picture of the Devils three Stanley Cup banners and realize Canucks fans only have pictures of pass players on the golf course come June.

Sorry Peter, the Canucks are going all the way this year. Luongo is on fire!!! That last minute loss by the Devils was a real jaw dropper. My condolences on your teams loss……..Thanks for your blog and thoughts on the world and markets. Happy playoffs…..
jeff It’s nice people like you that almost want me to see the Canucks win for your sake. Notice I said almost – lol
I too think that the canucks could make it to the finals, but I am not sure they could take it from a team like Boston … Go Canucks Go … BTW, I had Carolina winning that series in 7
Canucks may just be the dark horse …. I’d pick them now to come out of the west …. Boston is not known for avoid severe gag reflects. Anything can happen, but I won’t be investing even a small wager on the Canucks.
the prophet
Peter, whether the Canucks win the Stanley Cup or not is beside the point. The fact is is that they are still in the playoffs and the Devils are not. Perhaps it’s about time you gave the Canucks some well deserved respect like most people would. Now that would not only be refreshing, but also a nice change.
Don’t count that bet yet Peter. You know that pride goes before a fall. The Canucks have Luongo and we did not need seven games to win this round of the play offs. I think we may just go a little deeper.
Yeah Peter that was a hard game to watch. The consolation is that you might, just might get a chance to play golf with some of those Devils.
Heavens knows that Canucks have a lot of good golfers on there team. But it looks like their golf game will have to wait until Chicago whips their butts, like they did my beloved Flames. Yahooooooo!
“I will just have to console myself with a picture of the Devils three Stanley Cup banners and realize Canucks fans only have pictures of pass players on the golf course come June.”
Ohhhhh….. that was cruel !!
Looks like we maybe need a friendly little wager to separate the men from the golfers……
Mike If the Canucks win the stanley cup, I will wear a canucks jersey at the January vancouver gold show (providing I can find a good anti-itching cream).
Just like the stock market climbed over the wall of worry for the past few weeks (seemed almost impossible before it happened), I have a feeling that Canucks will climb over Peter’s wall of suspicion. Peter, keep it up! Stronger your resistance to Canucks, more chance they have to win. Don’t get caught covering your shorts here.
