I’m Still Alive

Posted by Peter Grandich at 10:33 PM on Wednesday, April 1st, 2009

I didn’t realize how much I’m missed until coming home to numerous emails asking if I’m okay because there’s been no postings of mine for 2 days. I’ve had two crazy days of business and personal issues that have kept me away from the computer.

I will get caught up tonight and update tomorrow on my 53rd birthday.

Good night.

Peter

    IT’S A TICKING TIME BOMB !
Countdown To Oblivion…… On The Way to Zero For The D.J.I.A.

That Federal Debt figure ticking away on the heading of these posts is a time bumb, folks. What is the number that will trip detonation, nobody knows; but perhaps it’s sooner than anyone thinks. Three months, six months, but my belief for a good while has been “As soon as we turn the page on the new decade”.

“Economic mismangement on an unprecedented scale” includes everything from a ‘Discomboblik’ Energy policy to socialization of private sector losses, and unsustainable deficit spending that promises to absorb all disposable income and in turn loss of individual freedom. IT”S A SHAMBLES !

Probably irreversible at this point and more planned ‘TARP’ programs, stimulus programs and government intervention to socialize the private sector virtually assures that economic catastrophe is merely months away, not years. Time has run out and the windows to safety are rapidly closing around us.

Select your assets for protection judiciously, because the Federal 1099B broker earnings statement can confiscate most of the gains that are ahead in Precious Metals merely with the stroke of a desperate government pen.

From my observation, Gold generally looks ahead six to twelve months and will herald the rise in consumer prices that’s surely coming. The Gold price advance should start here, ending the seemingly indifferent drift. Watch for Gold to rise toward the $1,000 level again in the days ahead, stagnate near the $1,000 level for a brief while and then rise dramatically.

The rush into Gold dwarfing the 300% gain over the previous 10 years is upon us. Remember what SGGroup is warning Americans about the power of the pen and the broker’s 1099 B tax statement. The Commie/ Fascists will threaten to confiscate your evil gains earned upon the misery of the masses. There will be redistribution to the deserving people….. Mark my words.

There’s bad short term news looming for traditional Common Stock Investors because whatever guides or powers my bank of indicators is moving along more quickly now. You can shorten the expected time frame before another resumption of the stock market decline to merely two to four weeks, not likely longer. Wise investors may consider nailing down profits within several trading sessions or so. Employ a ‘Stop / Loss’ strategy from here for all issues other than ‘SHORT’ or Gold oriented. Watch to exit all issues that show a ‘Rounding Over’ type pattern on the ‘Daily Charts’ in the days and couple of weeks ahead.

Unless there’s a major political / economic change, the Major Common Stock Averages, are on the way to ‘Zero’ in a series of steps over the years to come. Opportunists may want to select suitable situations for “Short Sale” in the renewed decline that will be upon us soon. Remeber what SGGroup has said repeatedly, “Obama will destroy everything in his first 100 days of office”. We’re almost there.

Happy Birthday, Mr. Peter G. This is a hell of a birthday present for you, isn’t it ?

SGG … well said … you may be out doing me in pessimism … sorry no bday greetings from me … I have always told my wife I wouldn’t want to insult her by treating her better through the giving of gifts one day of the year … each day she deserves the best I got… since I can’t afford one each day I won’t insult her those days I can’t supply a gift …. so Peter … the best to you all 365(6) days of the year.

Peter: I found this on todays Yahoo! finance page, dated April 2, 2009. Since your moving in this direction anyway, thought you might like to view where they see inflation going over the next couple of years. A contrary indicator or just plain double speek? Happy birthday!
The recession is projected to wipe out annual cost-of-living increases for 50 million Social Security beneficiaries for the next three years, something that hasn’t happened since automatic adjustments were adopted in 1975.

The Congressional Budget Office says in its latest budget estimates that inflation will dip so low that Social Security recipients will not qualify for annual increases in 2010, or for two years after that. In 2013 through 2019 — when projections are less reliable — CBO estimates annual increases of 2 percent each year, which would be among the lowest.

David Certner, director of legislative policy for the AARP, said many recipients rely on those increases to help pay for rising health care costs, which tend to outpace inflation. Many older Americans have also seen the values of their homes and savings decrease because of the nation’s financial crisis.
