We Want America Back!

America will never be destroyed from the outside.
If we falter and lose our freedoms,
it will be because we destroyed ourselves.

    Peter,

I am American,I love America and you my friend are a true Patriot. Your actions, words and compassion should be embraced and emulated by all. Abraham Lincoln was my favorite president and he knew we would destroy ourselves. But with great people like you,I truly believe there is hope for us.

As to race….Abraham Lincoln said that there was the position of superior and inferior, and as far a he was concerned the whites were superior. If he had said that today, he would be ran out of town. How come he never gets public credit for that statement? What about it Fox News can you report that, or is it “not convenient”?

Anybody remember the Orange County, California, Municipal Bond default years ago? Was it 1994 as I recall? That threw the Muni Market down about 20% across the board. Even high quality S/T issues were impacted. Maybe California’s technical insolvency hit the general market today.

Governator promises no Bond default …. but… Issuing IOU’s for obligations and everyday expenses? That would have to come back to the U.S. Dollar and Treasuries in some way or another, likely put foreign investors on edge. Like they say – So goes Kalifornia, goes the nation.

Happy Fourth Of July, maybe we’ll be free of this government before very long. That would be real Liberty & Happiness.

the greed of the bankers and the corruption of the politcians is ensuring Lincoln’s words toe be prophetic. Mourn instead of celebrating this 4th of July for a once great nation to have gone awry.

    Unsolved Mysteries
Will it be different this time?

Whomever has the answer to these questions will be a safe and wealthier investor in the months ahead. As I understand this morning, an Elliot Wave Technician is projecting potential for certain foreign bourses to fall to ‘Zero’ along with the S&P 200 or some U.S. Index.

However he arrives at such a projection, I don’t know, but if a few market indices do, they’re all going to Zero, not just some of the indices. For some time, I’ve held opinion that the markets will go to Zero, but maybe it’s a little too extreme. Then again, general equities may not be worth much more than Zero by the time we’re all done.

If the 9:1 Downside Volume Indicator and short term top pattern prove correct, we should now have entered the ‘Fifth’ and final wave of the Bear Market dating from October 2007. This is just throwing around ideas over morning coffee before starting out for the day, but perhaps at the end of the year, we’ll end up at 3,600 to 4,000, long term support for the D.J.I.A. That might conclude the ‘A Wave’.

You recall these problems and proposed legislation mentioned in this forum? Zero can’t be ruled out, but everything in due time. We should get an idea as the first part of this ‘Fifth Wave’ unfolds, but I think that it will be ferocious within the ‘Third Wave’ of the ‘Fifth Wave’. Maybe, a straight down type of market in the Fall months where government intervention is fruitless with weeks of panic. Just picture me running around everywhere on the internet saying, “I told you so, Obama will destroy everything.”

My guess is that ‘Cap & Tax’ and the ‘Health Care’ bills will implode everything. There could be sheer pandemonium with all these problems. You won’t even want to own stocks at much lower levels when this is done. Don’t underestimate the impact of this pending legislation.

Generally, ‘Fifth Waves’ down are not as destructive as ‘Third Waves’ where most of the damage is done, but this could be an extended ‘Fifth Wave’ considering all the problems we’re facing which could come to a convulsive conclusion, exacerbated by a government bent upon destructfulness.

Some might believe that this will be a controlled retest of the March lows, but the fundamentals suggest a collapse of stock prices is more probable. Whichever it is, we should know, and as mentioned this is just deliberation over morning coffee, already running too late.

So assuming that the Bear is back, lets consider what the impact will be upon the other markets, exploring ‘UNSOLVED MYSTERIES’.

    UNSOLVED MYSTERIES

The U.S. Dollar …. When the apparent ‘Third Wave’ down started in the stock market in March 2008, the U.S. Dollar started rising. Will it resume winning ways in a stock market decline again? Or will the U.S. Dollar collapse this time which is my suspicion.

    U. S. Treasury’s … Will they be a safe harbor in a storm if pandemonium breaks out in the Muni-Market? Instincts hint that the California troubles are being intentionally minimized by the media. Even business news is government influenced if not controlled to an extent. Contrarian suspicion leads me to believe that Treasury yields will rise if not soar and they’ll be dumped also.

Commodities & Oil … Likely to be caught in liquidation?

Gold … Where will the money be going if it’s pulled from the stock, Muni & Gov’t Bonds? Just don’t be surprised to see an explosive rise in the price of Gold before long. The worst case is that Precious Metals tread water as in some past crisis’.

Major Gold Mining Shares… If The Cursed Brethren (General Equities) go down and Gold goes up, how will the major mining issues fare? The ‘Third Wave Of The Third Wave’ (Within the Bear Market) ran from Mid-August 2008 to Mid-November 2008. While the mining shares had started down in March, with the start of the ‘Third Wave’ most of the damage to Major Mining issues was done in ‘The Third Wave Of The Third Wave’ down for general equities.

So considering the 2/3’s retracement of the Major Mining issues decline, since the late Fall, and IF this Bear becomes ferocious, we could see the Major Mining issues falling in sympathy, especially within ‘The Third Wave Down Of The Fifth Wave’.

However, the Major Mining Issues should hold above the lows of last Fall. These are all Unsolved Mysteries, but the one thing that does now seem probable is the Label – “Fifth Wave Down” – for The Cursed Brethren.

Happy 4th of July my friends!

As we are in the weekend I received this email today and it pretty much is in line with where the Lord has been taking us the last while I share it here:

THE QUESTION THAT CHANGED MY LIFE
    -by David Ryser.

A number of years ago, I had the privilege of teaching at a school of ministry. My students were hungry for God, and I was constantly searching for ways to challenge them to fall more in love with Jesus and to become voices for revival in the Church. I came across a quote attributed most often to Rev. Sam Pascoe. It is a short version of the history of Christianity, and it goes like this:

”Christianity started in Palestine as a fellowship; it moved to Greece and became a philosophy; it moved to Italy and became an institution; it moved to Europe and became a culture; it came to America and became an enterprise.”

Some of the students were only 18 or 19 years old, barely out of diapers, and I wanted them to understand and appreciate the import of the last line, so I clarified it by adding, “An enterprise. That’s a business.” After a few moments Martha, the youngest student in the class, raised her hand. I could not imagine what her question might be. I thought the little vignette was self-explanatory, and that I had performed it brilliantly. Nevertheless, I acknowledged Martha’s raised hand, “Yes, Martha.” She asked such a simple question, “A business? But isn’t it supposed to be a body?” I could not envision where this line of questioning was going, and the only response I could think of was, “Yes.” She continued, “But when a body becomes a business, isn’t that a prostitute?”

The room went dead silent. For several seconds no one moved or spoke. We were stunned, afraid to make a sound because the presence of God had flooded into the room, and we knew we were on holy ground. All I could think in those sacred moments was, “Wow, I wish I’d thought of that.” I didn’t dare express that thought aloud. God had taken over the class.

Martha’s question changed my life. For six months, I thought about her question at least once every day. “When a body becomes a business, isn’t that a prostitute?” There is only one answer to her question. The answer is “Yes.” The American Church, tragically, is heavily populated by people who do not love God. How can we love Him? We don’t even know Him; and I mean really know Him.

I stand by my statement that most American Christians do not know God ~ much less love Him. The root of this condition originates in how we came to God. Most of us came to Him because of what we were told He would do for us. We were promised that He would bless us in life and take us to heaven after death. We married Him for His money, and we don’t care if He lives or dies as long as we can get His stuff. We have made the Kingdom of God into a business, merchandising His anointing. This should not be. We are commanded to love God, and are called to be the Bride of Christ ~ that’s pretty intimate stuff. We are supposed to be His lovers.. How can we love someone we don’t even know? And even if we do know someone, is that a guarantee that we truly love them? Are we lovers or prostitutes?

I was pondering Martha’s question again one day, and considered the question, “What’s the difference between a lover and a prostitute?” I realized that both do many of the same things, but a lover does what she does because she loves. A prostitute pretends to love, but only as long as you pay. Then I asked the question, “What would happen if God stopped paying me?”

For the next several months, I allowed God to search me to uncover my motives for loving and serving Him. Was I really a true lover of God? What would happen if He stopped blessing me? What if He never did another thing for me? Would I still love Him? Please understand, I believe in the promises and blessings of God. The issue here is not whether God blesses His children; the issue is the condition of my heart. Why do I serve Him? Are His blessings in my life the gifts of a loving Father, or are they a wage that I have earned or a bribe/payment to love Him? Do I love God without any conditions? It took several months to work through these questions. Even now I wonder if my desire to love God is always matched by my attitude and behavior. I still catch myself being disappointed with God and angry that He has not met some perceived need in my life.. I suspect this is something, which is never fully resolved, but I want more than anything else to be a true lover of God.

So what is it going to be? Which are we, lover or prostitute?

“They, then, who are destined to die, need not be careful to inquire what death they are to die, but into what place death will usher them.”
    Author: Augustine

    End of email.

Have a blessed holiday weekend !
