Pullbacks and profit-taking can be expected but too many people have missed this breakout and need to get back on board. I’ve said it over and over again, this is a stealth secular bull market. Surprises are to be to the upside.
Off to Toronto for BNN Thursday then onto Montreal for conference Friday and Saturday.
How do you feel about the private placement for EVG today? What does this mean?

Starquestor is predicting that the Republican challenger Chris Christie is the winner in the New Jersey Governor’s race.
MAJOR MAJOR National implications.
Starquestor, I think we really are out of the woods now for good. The Republic has been saved! Faith has been restored in the electoral system, God’s in His Heaven, and all’s right with the world. Even way out here in New Mexico, we can feel the promise of redemption and the righteousness of a new dawn of Republican rule. Praise the Lord!
yeah im with eric…..i dont really know to make heads or tails of the recent EVG news.
Whoops! Scratch that — I take it all back — the man has no religion and is unfit for public service:

This was an amazing day. Finally, a decoupling of gold and the USD. Even Canadians made money on gold today – haven’t seen that since February. Gold stocks have been lagging gold of late (bearish) but not today. Once the overall market finishes the current correction (between now and Friday 13th?), the PM stocks could have a very nice run into January.
Klaus,
i find your posts really informative. thank you for your insight. i kind of hope this correction roles through for another week or 2 so i can load up on some more juniors on weakness and share your optimism up to January. hopefully u are right.
Steve,
why is some one unfit for public service if they have no religion?
Election Evening Results
Obama Is a Eunich
The election evening results strip Obama of power within his party. New Jersey is a ‘Very Sick State’ and the fact that the Republican candidate won handily is impressive. Obama was especially humbled after numerous supportive trips for the Commie loser, Corzine.
You’ll see faltering support for Obama’s plans in the days ahead, not limited to the ill conceived Socialization of healthcare. Watch as he’s abandoned and criticized even by his party. It wouldn’t surprise me to see him driven from office for failure to produce the Birth Certificate. (Alan Keyes active lawsuit)
From my observation, Chris Christie is a weakling, unlikely to cut the size of State government and the people have lost again. The real candidate for New Jersey Governor was Steve Lonegan, but the people aren’t ready for recovery, prosperity and ignored his ideas.
What we’re really searching for as a nation is an inspirational leader and it’s certainly not some one from Goldman Sachs where Corzine was formerly the Chairman.
That woman from up North yonder who cuts up Moose and such impresses me very much. Hardly anyone else.
POLICIES REPUDIATED
Obama Hits The Floor In Election Results
It was a limited election year, but in every state Obama hit the floor with overwhelming repudiation of his policies.
Nite Nite
Most of what I just read is PREPOSTEROUS and is the combined rant of the far right clones. Today’s elections were local and have nothing to do with the performance of the President. Obama is making great progress and will be reelected easily in 2012, especially if that nut- case from Alaska is the republican nominee.
Lets hear about today’s huge breakout stimulated by the IMF sale of 200 tons of gold. The Indian people would not buy gold so the government did????
Frank
A leader is one who knows the way, goes the way and shows the way. I believe Peter, u r the true leader.
If anything Obama has not gone nearly far enough in anything he’s done. Even when he’s tried to be a moderate, as in his foreign policy choices in Afghanistan and Iraq, the right clobbers him. Even though he’s turned negative 6 percent GDP into positive 3.5 percent GDP, he gets berated for not bringing unemployment down. In my view Obama needs to be a real leader, and do what’s right regardless of the political consequences. He needs to pull our troops from Afghanistan and Iraq asap. He needs to play hardball with the politicians and bring about real healthcare reform, which will provide healthcare security for all Americans and brings the larger costs down, not some watered down version that doesn’t change anything. He also needs to make America energy independent. No more oil from the Middle East, Russia or Venezuela. If he did all of these things, he would put the country on the right path. Going wimpy only gives Republicans another chance to complete the decimation of the country they started with Ronald Reagan and George W. Bush. They’ve done enough damage in our lifetimes with debt, derivatives and deregulation destroying our country. If Americans think Republicans, and what they’re proposing is the answer, all they need to do is remember Iraq and the 2008 meltdown.
HiPeter, could you explain why uranium is bouncing around — it seems to go up 4 to 5 dollars and now fell back 3.00. Is it like gold one step forward two back?
Thank you
Anna
Gold stocks have been lagging gold of late (bearish) but not today
(Klaus Willmann)
I heard this complain lately in a few forums.
But do you realize the HUI tripled since last Oct bottom?
I believe it was “FINE” to have a few days correction to take a break. Just because the gold shares lag Gold for a few days does NOT imply a bearish divergence
I wonder: Do investors see the big picture as it “IS”, or just see what they want to see
Hi every1,
Peter is once again leading the charge, I definitely thank God for him.
Bill Murphy on Korelin said the Indian IMF gold purchase was one of the most explosive bits of news he has heard in 11 years – http://www.kereport.com/dailyshow/daily-nov0309-seg2.html
Some commentators are calling about $1100 as the top (such as David Bensimon – I followed Phil’s post yesterday for his audio) and if you agree in the spooky similarity to the start of Sept, Oct and now Nov:
http://stockcharts.com/c-sc/sc?s=$GOLD&p=D&b=5&g=0&i=t43144701681&r=4362
, then “tonight gunna be another good night” and $1100 will come (Friday at latest if it’s the same pattern). What I’m wondering is if gold will make like Nov 07 and storm to overbought at $1145 before correcting like then.
SGGroup – what does your wave theory say about this pattern?
Could it be a dream run that the Dow turns up for about a week to struggle to almost 10000 again, gold gets to $1145 next week while $US goes to 74.5 at which time everything reverses, head and shoulders on the Dow, gold goes back to $1060 and $US gets towards 78? or will a reverse happen on Friday already?
I couldn’t find who posted the other day about the figures coming out on Friday almost always smothering gold in the past.
What’s your take fellow followers of Peter (or even Peter on your next post)?
This article hits a home run in describing Jon Nadler. Peter was right when he warned against listening to him, Leonard Kaplan and Dennis Gartman when it comes to gold. They’re the Three Stooges of the anti-gold clan.

Petey, Bill Murphy and Jim Sinclair have been advocating much higher gold prices while most others hedged or were outright negative. Look at all of Petey’s gold comments by going to his category section of the blog. Here it is http://grandich.agoracom.com/category/gold/ Please point me to anyone who has been more accurate and also caught the minor ups and downs.
KMK shareholders will be celebrating Christmas in style!
I get a big kick out of agitating the Canadian visitors and seeing them pretend to be Americans defending Obama.
TMM has traded a million shares already. Another timely buy signal from my favorite blog.
Who would want to pretend to be an American?
Peter Grandich said : Too many have missed this gold breakout. Well, how much did they miss ? Gold was $ 1030’s on March 17th 2008 , correct ? Now it went to $ 1090’s but it took 21 month for gold to gain roughly $ 60 . Is that really so exciting ? I don’t think so . If they bought the Canadian $ instead they would’ve been way more ahead than in gold . Peter would know. That’s what I call missing the boat, not the $ 60 in gold .
And is everything really so exciting in the gold stocks these day ? It sounds like it by reading some gold comments and Peter really likes NSU. Well, I had NSU in 2003 for $ 2.40 ’s and it went to $ 6 before plunging into penny’s again . NSU – 6 yrs. later is still 50% lower than 6 yrs. ago and what was the gold price in 2003 ? Just guessing…$ 400 ? Yes, that was a high. Now gold more than doubled and NSU is 50% cheaper. And back to ” too many missed this breakout ” I have never seen that gold never retraces some of it’s gain . Never since 2002 .
Becareful with statements .
bogi … still a goldbug
Army said : The HUI tripled since last Oct. Wow ! Who ever was so lucky to enter it then , that’s great news. But do you also know that the HUI is still 18% lower than it was on Mar. 17th 2008 ( 21 looooooong month ago ) when the HUI hit it’s high of 519 and gold was in the $ 1030’s ?
It’s not really all so exciting in the gold circle as some believe .
I know more gold stocks that are still 50% off from their highs in 2003 while gold gained about $ 700 . Of course there are exceptions too , like AEM, Kinross , Goldcorp, Eldorado. It pays to be in quality stocks over a long term .
