I.B.D. has been running an editorial series written by an aged woman who emigrated from Russia years ago. She witnessed the Communist regime’s evolution and strategies. In this series, she draws striking similarities to the Russia that she knew and direction of the U.S.

Most large media outlets are a failure at objective news reporting and simply pass on what they are told to report. You don’t see the stinging criticism that was consistently leveled at the previous administration by the big three networks.

Newspapers are in serious trouble due to declining readership and advertising. Many publications are threatened with demise. In response, Congress is considering a financial aid package of some sort. Why would any newspaper with an interest in survival utter so much as un unkind word toward the administration?

State controlled media? At least to the extent of significantly influencing their reportiing.

    HI,

Did you see the latest essay from Jon Nadler in Commodity Online stating gold is not in a bull market because: there is an excess of gold bullion each year as the miners are producing more gold each year; because there is no inflation now or in the near future; because China is keeping aLL the gold they produce and not selling it on the open market; because the only thing holding it up is the falling dollar and finally because there has been a big decline in jewelery fabrication.

The dollar will rise and gold will decline to $800, says Jon Nadler. It is frightening?

    Frank

He said that gold is goinmg down to 800

Nobody should be surprised … state capitalism/communism is alive and well … maybe Obama is really the step father in the original Manchurian candidate … Angela Lansbury was brilliant as the obsessed commie who would stop at nothing.

It’s all for one and one for one at the white house.

taxes from all and give outs to the one who supports this travesty.

wake up America … act fight but don’t complain and do nothing!

A few weeks ago, Peter made a rare claim against someone in the industry by warning his readers about listening to Nadler. He ended up rrciving a nasty letter from Nadler which he published. How anyone could still say something nice about Nadler after that is beyond me. He’s been wrong for so long yet he has the balls to make fun of those who disagree with him.
Nadler is a joke and there’s no doubt Kitco puts up with it because they’re not bulls themselves.

Freedom Of The Press Belongs To Whomever Owns It

Two weeks ago, Jon Noodler he was quoted in Barron’s Weekly as a Bearish authority on Gold, a kind of guru of sorts. That’s okay, but the interesting point was that Barron’s (At least the column writer) was standing behind his representation that Gold was overvalued and dangerously susceptible to a decline.

So the topic under this posting appears to be media influence. It was apparent to me that Barron’s has a contra-interest toward Gold on behalf of their advertisers. This week? There’s not a single word about Gold in the lengthy publication and for that matter, I don’t even recall seeing an advertisement for Gold in the publication.

“Freedom Of The Press Belongs to Whomever Owns It.” The hell with truthful objective reporting.
