Dear Peter and George: With gold in a bull market is there any problem with just hanging on to the gold juniors until the cycle concludes.
There are a lot of carry trades using the US$ i.e. traders borrowing the US$ at a low rate and invest in stocks and other currency. Besides benefiting from the spread, they enjoy stock appreciation and dollar depreciation. This has probably caused the boom in the market worldwide with a lot of liquidity.
If the stock market goes down, many traders should be running for cover causing the US$ to spike up. How will that impact gold prices. What are the contingency steps we need to take to tackle this scenario?
as mentioned in his update, employment numbers seems to be weak
what is djia outlook
Hi Peter — could you please speak on Knight Resources, I have owned this for quite some time and am hoping it is going in the right direction however there is not too much in the way of any news — can I expect some positive things in the future.
Will there be a good opportunity in tax loss selling season this year to accumulate juniors? I am expecting a general market decline within the next month
Steve
Do you think silver will outperform gold? If yes, what are the top 2-3 silver stocks recommendations?
Peter
what about ETF’s? Due to the explosion of these products, it’s almost impossible that they’re backed by gold.
I also hear rumours that 2 European banks are bidding at Comex gold + 20% to get delivery, but they don’t. (simply because there’s no gold at Comex).
Do you trust al these ETF’s (and GLD?)
thx
Peter, What is happening with APA?
Good morning, Peter.
Re LV, Longview Strategies, do you have any feel for what is going on the company, what might be expected in the future?
Thank you.
Peter, can you comment on Hathors’ resource estimate release?
Peter – Any comments whatsoever on NAK would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Hi Peter & George,
I know you are looking for 10,500 on the Dow where you would take the opportunity to go short. Can you please comment on the TSX as well, providing your insight into the outlook for the canadian market. It has had quite the rally as well, and I am considering putting in a short on the TSX to hedge against my predeominantly gold and silver jr portfolio.
Dear Peter
Thanks for all the great work. I would like to ask about Formation capital (FCO.TO). You mentioned it is very close to complete financing. How long do you think this may take? Also, do you think the share price has bottomed in the short-term. Thank you very much
Eric
im sure im like many others on this one….now that we know how bad the unemployment numbers are how is this going to effect the mini melt up? are we headed down from here or are we still going up? thank u
What’s up with Hathor? Is it still a buy? Hold?
Hello Peter and George,
With gold hitting 1100 and some companies like EVG not realy moving do you see a correction comming to companies like this in the near future?
With Farallon Mining now a producer – what is your long term outlook?
Does Peter have info or comment on either of these companies:
Rodinia minerals TSX.V RM
Rocher-Deboule minerals RDBHF.pk
thanks!
YOUR COMMENTS ON ER-EASTMAIN AS TO NEAR TERM SHARE PRICE AND
POSSIBLE TAKEOVER BY GOLDCORP
YOUR COMMENTS ON GIX- GEOLOGIX,
Hi Peter
You said earlier this week that a poor jobs report could be a game changer. What do you think now?
Related question. Do you have any thoughts on any hedges at this time?
thanks for your great work.

Hi Peter & George,
In your opinion, are we heading for the kind of mania in junior miners that we saw back in the late seventies. If yes, what time frame are we talking about.
Thanks for your great work.
Ian.
With all governments seemingly short of cash at the moment do you think that the gold/silver companies will become targets for more taxes in an environment where they are one of the few industries making a good ROI in the next few years.
Peter, thanks for taking my question.
Gold is making new nominal highs, but the HUI has not, and neither did Silver.
What do you believe this means? Is it bearish for the intermediate term?
Thanks in advance for your reply
Do stop losses work with junior resource companies or are they just too volatile?
Thanks
peter you always speak to buy limits…do you have sell limits on stocks like KMK? NAK? NSU (you said up to $4-5 for this one)
Hi Peter & George
Gold is pretty strong lately, but gold stock is quite disappointed…
In what kind of situation, gold will be really broken out. GDX has a very heavy resistence aroung $50. Every time it hit resistance, then broken down… It seems good for trading, but not for holding…
My feeling is that people are afraid of general market break down, so were they afraid of gold stocks. Is it true that gold stock e.g. GDX will break out until gneral market break down…
Thanks
Typo,
“gold will be really broken out” I meant gold stocks
Peter, what are your thoughts on High River Gold HRG?
God Bless,
Peter why was Formation Capitol not one of your top 3 picks? and since we have to wait till the end of November for further news is Constuction for Qtr4 2009 All but over till Qtr 2 2010??
Thanks
John
Dear Peter,
If in fact we do get to hyperflation or close to it in the U.S. and the commodities and metals stocks and the S&P have been soaring because the citizens run away from their ever decreasing dollars, at what point does a person sell out these assets assuming the inflation cycle has burnt out the way it did in Germany in November of 1923? I wouldn`t want to ride the assets back down to where I started. I know the Reichmark was changed to the Deutchmark. In order for the person to retain his net worth made in in hyperflation mode what does he now do with the proceeds that were cashed out? Does he put the money that is in dollars at that point into a stronger currency?
Army asked : Why is silver not moving ? Why is the HUI lagging ?
The best questions here .
I hope Peter has a good answer . My own thoughts on that ?
Gold moves up because of a currency crisis. Silver not moving ( gold/silver bearish right now ) because there is no inflation , not yet . HUI lagging because of trouble in equities.
Peter, what’s your answer ?
